This is how to make you projector show the same as you laptop screen for windows 10 .
Part one:
You can see what ports look like. :)
Ports (the hole on your laptop and projector)

VGA/CGA

cables
(the wire that you plug one side into your laptop and one side in your projector)
HDMI and mini HDMI

Display port

USB-C and thunder bolt

VGA

Part two:
On to the actual tutorial
Windows 10 :)
Step one:
Slug in the cable (use the examples above if you need to)
Step two:
Type "duplicate" in the search box and click the top option

Now scroll down a bit and where it says "extend"

Click on this and select duplicate

Now you should be able to see your laptop screen on your projector. :)

A little story :) (Mrs c this is for you)
To start this story off I recently moven up schools and in my "old school" I was known as the computer kid and I was the kid that would leave in the middle of class and help a teacher with the computer and often it was one of the 5.
The cable was lose
The projector was off
The laptop was set to extend and not duplicate
(You wont believe this) The laptop was off like what!!!!!
Or I just hit it and it would work.(I looked cool)
and once it was fixed everyone thought I was so cool, and in school everyone wants to be cool so when I was called a person that knew NOTHING would attempt to do it and the teacher would question them and instead ask me to do it.
But now in my "new school" I was not known as the computer kid but I was just one of the other kids (but more annoying) and my new teacher mrs.c (obviously not her real name)her laptop like many other laptops when you plug in a projector or when you leave a PowerPoint presentation, it auto sets to extend not duplicate so on one of the first days her laptop did the extending thing one of the kids from my "old school" said "heath can do it" so I went up and mrs.c said sure have a go and I did the stuff at the start of the article and it worked, and about a couple times afterwards mrs.c "learned" she was doing it her self . a couple days afterwards I was writing the actual tutorial part and I thought, I know!! ill ask mrs.c if I could mention her in this and she said yes.
the end :)
notes:
"mrs.c" is not what she is really called its just so I don't say her real "teaching name"
I will be making an other article on other operating systems this is just for windows 10.
mrs.c if you are reading this can you give me a house point :)
also I'm very bad so sorry if my grammar is bad I'm not the best :)
